Preparation

Wakame is best known for its use in miso soups or Japanese seaweed salads. In flake form, it is ideal for making seaweed-flavored salt, for sprinkling as a finishing touch on a soup or salad, or on grilled fish or tartare. Finally, it can even be made into pesto or used as a popcorn seasoning.
