Our mission:

To inspire cooks, regardless of their level of experience, to create with the riches of Nordic nature and local products.

Flavors that are very local, but not very accessible and well-known

Madagascar vanilla can be found in every supermarket, but it's hard to get your hands on Québec sweet clover, also known as "boreal vanilla."

Nonsense? We think so.

And that’s why we founded Racines boréales.

We believe that cooking Northern nature should be within reach of all Québecers.

So we make its products with incredible flavors available on our online store and at our grocery store in Montréal, but also through the artisanal condiments that we create.

And because we believe that culinary culture is largely driven by chefs and artisans, we also supply the province's best restaurants and food companies, breweries and distilleries.

Restaurant quality for everyone

What we offer you, we also offer to the best gastronomic restaurants in the province. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for you. And vice versa.

We play detectives to find the best producers and artisans in Québec and we source directly from them, to offer you truly authentic and locally sourced products.

We take care of nourishing nature

Because without it, we wouldn't exist. Because we want future generations to be able to taste all the flavors it offers us. Because it's in the natural order of things to take care of what takes care of us.

For all these reasons, we work very hard to source locally, to limit food waste and to use packaging designed to limit their ecological footprint and maximize the shelf life of your food.

We put North back at the center of the plate

Together, we are building a strong Québec culinary culture , inspired by its local ingredients and rooted in the values of authenticity and sustainability.
