Whole dried gorria peppers
20 g
The Gorria pepper, with its fruity and slightly smoky aromatic notes, ranks between 1500 and 2500 on the Scoville scale, which places it just below the jalapeño pepper in terms of spiciness.
It is also known as Espelette pepper, the main difference being that Espelette pepper is a controlled designation of origin for this variety of pepper when it is grown exclusively in 10 communes of the French Basque Country.
When grown in Quebec, as is the case here, it is called Gorria pepper.
