Our organic sea buckthorn berries have a wonderful orange color and are packed with flavor and antioxidants. Individually frozen, the berries don't stick together, so you can use only the quantity you need. Sea buckthorn berries are small and tart, and they grow on a thorny shrub native to northern Europe and Asia. Perfectly adapted to our climate, the plant was introduced to Canada in 1930, then to Québec in 1998.
These bright, sunny berries are not normally consumed raw due to their high acidity. They are usually cooked and used in mixology, and are typically balanced by a sweet or fatty ingredient. They are also well known for the impressive amount of vitamins they contain.
