Huitlacoche pre-order
Huitlacoche, or corn smut, is a disease of corn cobs caused by the fungus ustilago maydis. In Mexico, infected kernels are called huitlacoche and are considered a delicacy, often eaten in tacos, quesadillas, or soup.
It has a mushroomy, sweet and slightly smoky flavor.
Huitlacoche exists wherever corn is grown, which means in Québec too! Ours comes from Québec.
This product includes the corn cob and its huitlacoche.
This product is available for pre-order until Friday, August 30th at 6 p.m. for in-store pickup the weekend of August 31st and September 1st.
