Wild mushrooms

Wild mushrooms open up a world of incomparable flavors to those who wish to discover them. If you've ever tasted a wild mushroom, you know that it's worlds away from button mushrooms in terms of taste and texture. The forest is far from the grocery store. If you think you don't like mushrooms, have you ever tried a forest mushroom? We know more than one person who changed their mind after trying well-cooked chanterelles.

The morel is probably the best-known edible wild mushroom, but this universe is vast! Also discover chanterelles, matsutakes, trumpets of death, lobster mushrooms (or lobster mushrooms or crabs), maitakes, porcini mushrooms or other boletus. Ranging from the foresty and earthy richness of morels to the fruity and buttery taste of chanterelles and the salty hint of crab mushrooms, the range of flavors is vast. There is something for every taste.

They grow in our forests from spring until late fall. Quebec mushrooms are as diverse as they are tasty. They are a true treasure of our forests.

Whether with creamy pasta, in a wild mushroom cream, wild mushroom osso bucco or in a pan-fried accompaniment, they are worth discovering! Here you will find a wild mushroom that you will like, but also wild mushroom recipes to cook them like the chefs. Visit our blog to discover all our recipes.

Would you like to replace meat in your meals without losing taste? You've come to the right place: wild mushrooms are bursting with flavor. They give their umami side and meaty texture to your favorite dishes: pulled pork, stroganoff, carbonara, tourtière, burgers and more. This gold from our forests is truly the holy grail of vegetarians and vegans.

Discover the wild mushrooms of Quebec and Canada! Eat local; eat tasty.

Products

How to cook your products?

Each product page contains a section called Preparation, which contains many cooking tips. Check it out without moderation! If you still have questions, do not hesitate to contact us via the chat module or by email .

Are your products organic?

Each product's certifications are displayed on their individual pages. Wild-harvested products are difficult to obtain organic certification because the harvesting locations vary from season to season, but they are still hand-picked, natural products. It's hard to get any purer!

Do your products have health benefits?

Many of our products have many virtues, but what really interests us is their taste, because our playground is the kitchen. We leave health to other experts!

If you would like advice on the medicinal aspect of any of our products, we recommend that you consult a healthcare professional.

Do you deliver fresh or frozen products?

In order to preserve their freshness as much as possible, we do not deliver them, but you can select the in-store pickup option and pick them up at our delicatessen on Ontario Street .

Do you pick all your produce yourself?

Instead, we chose to surround ourselves with experienced professional pickers, who work according to the rules of the art and, above all, with respect for the resource.

Our network of pickers spans Quebec and even Canada, allowing us to offer you more diverse products from a variety of regions, from the forests of British Columbia to the shores of the Gaspé Peninsula.

I have allergies. How do I know if I can consume your products?

Each product page contains a list of ingredients. Just check it out! Please note that our facilities process allergens such as nuts and mustard.

Where do your products come from?

It depends on which ones! But our philosophy is to source locally, as close as possible.

Each product page includes a Provenance section that you can easily consult to find out the provenance of a particular product.

You can also rely on the Aliments du Québec or Aliments préparés au Québec certification which appears on the pages of the products concerned.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

Respect for the environment is one of our driving values. Our wild-harvested products adhere to the principles of responsible harvesting.
